Tyson is “nearly native” of Phoenix and has lived almost his entire life in Arizona. His long history living and working in the market continues to be one of his greatest assets to the developers, owners and retailers he represents.
He began his career in commercial real estate in 2000 at D.L. Slaughter Company a retail brokerage firm. There he acquired an intimate knowledge of retail real estate development, leasing and sales from his experience working on all phases of numerous ground-up projects from the initial site selection to the divestiture of the asset.
Tyson joined Phoenix Commercial Advisors in 2004, where his focus had been a mix of Tenant Representation, Landlord representation and Land Acquisitions. One of his greatest strengths is the ability to develop and execute a strategic market plan based on the needs of the client. By focusing on a long-term plan, he identifies and filters opportunities – saving his client time and resources.
In January of 2009 Tyson started SR Commercial Real Estate with partner and long time friend John Reva, in order to better serve his clients needs through more personal attention.
B.A. History, McNeese State University – Lake Charles, Louisiana
A resident of Phoenix since 1994, John began his real estate career in 2004 with Retail Brokers, Inc. where he worked as an in-house leasing agent handling Global Retail Development Group’s portfolio of 35 shopping centers located throughout the Phoenix Metro market. In his first year with Retail Brokers, John was named the company’s rookie of the year and was also recognized in he Commercial Leasing Update as one of the Top Rookies of 2005. While at Retail Brokers, John averaged over 45 transactions per year.
From 2007 to 2008 John worked as a leasing associate for Vestar Development Company. While at Vestar John oversaw the marketing and leasing of retail shops at Tempe Market Place, Oro Valley Market Place, and Canyon Trails Towne center. During his tenure John gained valuable experience in the negotiation process, as well as, forging many strong relationships with several local and national retailers.
In January 2009 John and Long time friend Tyson Switzenberg started SR Commercial Real Estate with goal of providing their clients with unmatched service and attention to detail.
